Gys always have one main moto in life - Live life to the max. Don't be afraid to try stuffs. I remember he was telling me once that life is short and you should not be afraid of this and that; You must LIVE life because you never know what is going to happen tomorrow.
A few months back in December we had this chalet at Downtown east and he was eager to try all the games at Wild Wild Wet, even though he did not even know how to swim! There was this very intimidating looking slide which i told him about but that was not enough to deter him. He even challenged Kok to take a ride with him.
And despite his lack of swimming skills, he "swam" all the way with the help with a float to the 1.8m area of the Tsumani pool, without a life jacket. He was totally enjoying himself as I struggled in the 1.6m depth with a life jacket and float. Ha.
When it comes to business, Gys also adopts a similar attitude. Take up the opportunity first, then think of how to handle it. At times, the projects he bid for all those government types where all the big shots IT company are competing against, yet he still have a way to win those bids... He never backs down from any challenge. Nothing is too difficult for him... To Gys, impossible is nothing...
